Requirements Under general supervision and according to well-defined policies and procedures, interviews patient to obtain necessary identification information, enters standard registration information into computer system and performs other clerical and record-keeping tasks related to registration, transfers, discharges, observations, direct admits and order entry.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Type 35 WPM• Must have excellent oral communication skills in order to solicit and provide information to patient and families• Medical Terminology experience preferred• Prior hospital or medical office registration experience necessary or 2 years of high level customer service experience in a fast pace setting• Knowledge of insurance cards and insurance carriers, and types of plans preferred• EPIC user a plusEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)Experience: 1 to 3 yearsSchedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm, 8 hours shift, 80 hours per pay period(2018-699)
