Requirements Acts a resource to staff nurses to facilitate and enhance quality of care for patient and families. Acts as a clinical role model for staff. Provides supervision for all departments within the patient care division and assumes delegated responsibility for overall hospital administrative functioning and unit staffing. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values the acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Knowledge• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Allied Health or enrolled in program• Current State of Illinois RN license required• Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)Skills• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, and interacts effectively with others in difficult situations• Analytical and problem solving skills requiredAbilities• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks• Ability to work flexible shifts and days when required• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing• Possesses the ability to work in stressful and crisis situations, while exhibiting the highest degree of professionalism• Proven experience in conflict management and strong ability to negotiate differences• Must have the ability to mobilize throughout the hospital• Work requires lifting or carrying objects of 10-30 pounds• Maintains the confidentiality of all patient information and that of Rush Oak Park HospitalSchedule: Variable days Monday-Sunday, 11:00 pm-7:00 am; 8 hours shift; Weekend Frequency: 11:00 pm-7:30 am-Supervisor coverage; 24 hours per pay period (2019-708)
