Requirements Incumbent produces high quality breast images for interpretation in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Demonstrates confidence and compassion when interacting with patients and appropriately answers patients' questions. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and physiology, demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment, proficient screening mammography with technical repeat of 1% or lower, proficient in diagnostic mammography, proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment, requires full body range of motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary, requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, proficient in image guided breast procedures included but not limited to interventional breast biopsy procedures.Education: Associate's Degree, formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, successful completion of 40 hour mammagraphy course. Certifications/Licensures: Valid IL Department of Nuclear Safety License; Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART), Valid IEMA license in Radiologic Technology. Schedule: Monday-Friday, Saturday (variable hours); Shift: 8 hours; Weekend Frequency: work every other weekend; Variable hours per pay period.
