Position Highlights:

The Information Services (IS) Sr. ERP Project Manager (PM) is accountable for: developing and executing the project plan for large complex Rush projects or programs; optimizing the utilization of resources to realize the project objectives within schedule and budget; maintaining an enterprise, cross technology view during execution and leading the project team through Rush project processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Directs analysis, design, and development of assigned projects.

  • Develops system documentation and develops system specifications and procedures.

  • Ensures that user requirements are defined and documented.

  • Develops system specifications and procedures.

  • Directs project planning activities using project management methodologies.

  • Coordinates and leads IT projects; monitoring project process, progress and results.

  • Ensures that there is adequate system test plans and system testing before implementation.

  • Provides on-site user support during implementations.

  • Follows Change Management processes.

  • Collaborates with colleagues.

  • Leads large complex projects (duration 6 months+), that may include management of Team Leads.

  • Follows strong project management skills and contributes to standard implementation methodologies and management best practices.

  • Coordinates activities across support, projects and optimization efforts.

  • Assists in prioritizing team activities across projects.

  • Creates solutions that integrate customer needs with IT strategic direction.

  • Authors and executes complex project plans for large projects. Leads large projects with several sub-projects, and/or concurrent large projects. Measures, manages and communicates project variances. Identifies risks and proposes mitigation strategies.

  • Translates informal and incomplete information into actionable direction.

  • Leads process improvement efforts.

  • Accountable for project budgets. Assists IS management with budget projections for new initiatives.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, information systems, health care or related fields desirable. PMP certification desirable. Relevant experience may be substituted for formal training.

  • Extensive background with ERP systems, preferably Infor/Lawson in a HealthCare environment.

  • Experience with implementing information system applications and technologies.

  • Experience with multiple Corporate systems to facilitate mentoring and guiding segments of the team.

  • Seven or more years' project management experience typically preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of formal project management techniques and tools through training and direct experience (MS Project or other project scheduling tools).

  • Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and MS Project).
