App Specialist Service Now - IS Sr Workflow Engineer

Position Highlights:

Primary responsibility is to be a hands on product specialist, BA, developer and a key resource in developing solutions and applications for Rush's ITSM/ServiceNow system. The position required technology understanding along with ITSM Expertise and technical knowledge of ServiceNow, JavaScript, service planning and ability to build portal based technology for a Healthcare environment. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership by creating solutions for complex business problems. Responsible for business analysis, solution architecture and code development. Follows a strict SDLC process working in an Agile environment.

  • Balances needs for support, maintenance and administrative tasks with projects. Be independent and resourceful. Participates in strategic planning and department coordination. Must be able to develop work plans and work with project team leadership to integrate these plans into larger project plans.

  • Maintains expert level of technical knowledge in ServiceNow, Workflows and portals including JavaScripting development technologies.

  • Works with the different team leads to perform solution architecture by developing high quality solutions for Rush’s business problems.

  • Follows industry best practices and patterns in building ITSM systems.

  • Has the ability to escalate and communicate system outages that may result in patient care impacts.

  • Keeps current with skills and research the software industry to help pave the way for future development strategies.

  • Performs Quality Assurance of applications developed as per industry standards to ensure successful implementation of the team’s SDLC process.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience working with ITSM and ServiceNow applications acting as a technical leader in an enterprise environment

  • Technical expert in ITSM and ServiceNow

  • Must have at least 2 years of workflow development using languages like JavaScript.

  • Development experience

  • Overall 4 or more years of IT experience

  • Must be knowledgeable of ITSM, workflow development practices and techniques

  • Must have be expertise in ServiceNow (or similar product).

  • C#, .NET

  • Workflow management tools and software distribution

  • Leadership experience that includes leading a team of IS professionals, developers and support resources
