Rush Copley Medical Center Patient Benefit Access Coordinator/RCMG in Aurora, Illinois

Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating patient benefits including generating referrals, conducting pre-certifications, checking patient eligibility of multiple practices.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred

  • Minimum of two years experience generating referrals. Experience in similar specialty setting preferred

  • Previous experience pre-certifying insurance benefits

  • Previous experience checking patient insurance eligibility

  • Minimum of two years previous coding experience

  • Thorough knowledge managed care plan requirements and limitations

  • Previous experience with practice management/medical billing computer programs required

  • Computer registration and EMR experience preferred

  • Previous Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) experience referred

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Detailed oriented

  • Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and apply appropriate policies and procedures

  • Flexible, able to adapt to chang

  • Must have EPIC experience
